Xiaomi Redmi 4 goes on sale on Amazon India today
However, unlike last time, there is no Rs 6,999 version (2GB RAM+16GB storage) up for grabs. You would have to choose between the Black or Gold variants of the 3GB RAM+32GB storage or 4GB RAM+64GB storage models. The 3GB RAM version costs Rs 8,999 while the 4GB RAM model is priced at Rs 10,999.
Amazon India is also giving some offers with the two Xiaomi Redmi 4 variants. Buyers can get up to 30GB additional 4G Reliance Jio data. They also have the option to get free 12-month and 3-month subscription to Hungama Music and Play for music and video streaming. In addition, Redmi 4 buyers can download and log in to their Amazon Kindle accounts to get a Rs 200 promotion credit on Kindle Books. They can even pay Rs 599 extra to get a damage protection plan.
The company is offering customers Mi cases for its Redmi 4 starting at Rs 249. The cases are originally priced at Rs 599. Customers can also buy the Mi Basic headphones starting at Rs 599 and Mi Air Capsule earphones at Rs 999.
The all new Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes with an all-metal unibody design. The hybrid dual-SIM smartphone comes with curved edges and its rear panel has a circular fingerprint sensor, along with the company logo. There’s also an IR blaster for turning it into a universal remote control.
The smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) resolution display along with a 2.5D curved glass design. Under-the-hood you get a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, clubbed with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM capacities.
Android-based Redmi 4 sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture, in addition to a 5MP front camera for selfies. Backed by a 4,100mAh battery, the Redmi 4 offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG and GPS as major connectivity options.
