The scheme will benefit 763 working people from 6 states including 346 villages in Uttar Pradesh, 221 in Haryana, 100 in Maharashtra, 44 in Madhya Pradesh, 50 in Uttarakhand and 2 in Karnataka. Beneficiaries from all the states except Maharashtra will receive the physical card within a day. While it may take up to a month for landowners in Maharashtra to get a property card. Because the Maharashtra government is going to impose a normal charge for the card.


Easily get a loan

The scheme will enable landowners to use their assets as financial assets. It can be used for financial gain including loan application.

What is an Svamitva Yojna

This is a special scheme started by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj of the Central Government. In this regard, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the National Panchayat Day on April 24, 2020. The purpose of this scheme is to distribute property cards in rural areas to give people a 'record of rights'. The scheme will be implemented in phases over 4 years. It is to be completed between 2020 and 2024 and will cover 6.62 villages in the decade. One lakh of these villages will be covered in the initial phase (pilot phase) during 2020-2021. This phase will include villages in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Karnataka, as well as some border villages in Punjab and Rajasthan.




Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ownership scheme today. This will be a turning point for rural India. This step of the government will benefit about 6.62 villages in four years. Swamitva Yojana was brought by Prime Minister Modi on April 24 this year on National Panchayat Day. Under this scheme, the goal of legal settlement of property related matters in rural India has been set. Through this scheme, with the help of drone survey technology, the populated areas of the village will be demarcated. This will help reduce legal land disputes in villages.

How the Svamitva yojna will be implemented

The ownership scheme is a scheme of the Central Government. The nodal agency for implementing this is the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. To implement it in the States, the Revenue Department or Land Records Department has been made the nodal department which will implement this scheme in collaboration with the Panchayati Raj Department of the State. Survey of India will act as technical partner in implementing this scheme.

Prime Minister Modi has launched the ownership scheme through video conferencing. Property cards will be distributed to about one lakh people after the launch of the scheme. The card can be downloaded via a link sent via SMS to the mobile phone.

Importantly, the scheme, launched under the Panchayati Raj Ministry, will benefit one lakh people in 763 panchayats in six states. These include 346 panchayats in Uttar Pradesh, 221 in Haryana, 100 in Maharashtra, 44 in Madhya Pradesh, 50 in Uttarakhand and two in Karnataka.

After the launch of the scheme, Prime Minister Modi spoke to people who have been given ownership cards by the central government. "Now no one can take a bad look at your property," the PM said.
Meanwhile, the recipients of the card said that getting the property card has given them social and economic strength. In a conversation with the PM, he told the cardholders that the card has made it easier for them to get a loan from a bank, as well as a dispute over their assets in the village.
The PM said that today 1 lakh people are feeling powerful after getting the card. This scheme has brought a historic change in the lives of the people living in the village.
"Today you have a right, a legal document. Your home is yours and will be yours," he said. This scheme will bring a historic change in the villages of our country.
