Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) Price Revealed
Samsung officially launched its Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) in Vietnam today, which gives us an idea of what pricing is likely to be when they come to India. The two phones have been launched at VND 10,990,000 (roughly Rs. 30,980) and VND 13,490,000 (roughly Rs. 38,040) respectively. They will go on sale on January 6 in black, gold, blue, and orchid grey. Both phones feature Samsung’s new Infinity Display design with taller borderless screens, IP68 certification, and dual front-facing cameras. The Galaxy A8 (2018) has a 5.6-inch screen while the larger Galaxy A8+ (2018) has a 6-inch screen, both with the same 1080×2220-pixel resolution.
Meanwhile, leaks indicate that Samsung is gearing up to launch the much lower priced Galaxy J2 (2018) in some countries. The dual-SIM smartphone could have a 5-inch 540×960-pixel Super AMOLED screen, 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and 8-megapixel rear camera.
Samsung has also launched a variant of its Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, priced at Rs. 12,990. The phone was first launched in India with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, priced at Rs. 11,490. The original variant is now listed on Samsung’s website at Rs. 10,490. Other than RAM and storage, there are no differences between the variants. Both have the same 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, octa-core 1.6GHz SoC, and 13-megapixel rear camera.
